The Creakes Gardeners Club
The Gardeners Club has been going now for 12 years, in which many subjects have been covered including the growing of many different varieties of flowers, shrubs and produce.There have also been speakers about the wild life that can be found in all our gardens. We organise many outside visits to interesting gardens in the summer as well.
Our meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month, with the exception of January and December, in North Creake Village Hall at 7.30pm Visitors are always very welcome. Dates for your diary.

GARDENERS CLUB SUGGESTIONS FOR JANUARY
Sow Broad Beans & Leeks indoors. Plant bare root Roses, Shrubs, Trees & Shrubs. Order Flower Seeds for spring sowing. Improve borders by digging in Compost. Order seeds etc from Dobies via Alan Crisp.

A talk by Hoecroft Plants from Wood Norton Nr Dereham who specialise in Ornamental Grasses and interesting plants. Their will also be plants for sale following the talk.

A talk by Tim Marshall Head Gardener on the Holkham Estate entitled Bolivia. Plant Hunting in the Land of the Llamas. Sure to be an interesting evening.

A talk with slides by Brian Beers of The Garden Farmer Business who speciaises in veg, fruit and herb growing. He is a regular with his plants at North Creake Abbey Farmers Market.

GRAND RAFFLE AT CREAKE ABBEY
The Creakes Gardeners Club will be once again holding their annual Grand Raffle in aid of Wells Hospital at the Creake Abeey Plant Fair. Last year we raised £ 750 for this very worthwile cause.

The 16th Annual Horticultural Show. Entries open to all members of the Creake Gardeners Club and from residents of both North & South Creake. For a schedule please contact Alan Crisp on 01328 738142. There will also be a book and produce sale.

NORTH CREAKE VILLAGE HALL AT 7.30pm
We will hold the Annual General Meeting followed by an informal questions and answer session with a local gardening expert.

We have two special annual events each year, they are a coffee morning, which is held in Mr & Mrs Crisp's back garden and our popular Horticultural Show which is held on the first Saturday in September in North Creake Village Hall.
The annual subscription is £8, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits. Visitors pay £2 per meeting.
Why not give us a try, we are all novices at heart who enjoy meeting with like minded friends.
